Now celebrating our Four Year Anniversary!
Working locally, thinking globally
Dear Fellow East Bradford citizen(s),
What an exciting time to be a Democrat in Chester County!
Democratic registration in our county is up by over 20,000 to 113,000 Democrats. We had a record turnout on Primary Day. The energy and the enthusiasm that we saw at the polls was tangible. Now we need to harness that energy and enthusiasm as we look forward to the election in the Fall.
This is a very important election for Democrats.
After the past eight years of failed policies by the Bush administration, our nation is stuck in a war in Iraq with no end in sight, on the verge of recession, still in a healthcare crisis and suffering from an astronomical deficit. This country NEEDS new leadership and East Bradford Democrats (EBD) is committed to helping make this happen.
East Bradford Democrats (EBD) — formerly East Bradford Citizens for Democracy (EBCD) — is a progressive, grassroots organization committed to building a stronger future for all our citizens. Our mission is to encourage voter participation by educating and empowering our citizens to get involved in the political process. Through social activism, innovative communication and outreach programs, we help to inform the community about local issues and candidates, and work to increase voter turnout. We support the election of Democratic candidates who share our goals and reflect our ideals while maintaining a focus on human rights, the environment, and our future.
It’s often said that All Politics is Local. If you’ve ever wanted to get involved in politics at the local level, now is a great time to do so. We invite you to join our fast-growing and active group. Please come out to one, or all of our Summer of Change meetings in June, July, and August.
Meet special guest Barb McIlvaine Smith at our June meeting!
On Saturday, June 7th, we are having an “All Fired Up Barbecue” at XXXX from 2-6pm. We’ll hold a brief meeting after which we’ll enjoy good food, company and conversation with our friends and neighbors.
PLEASE RSVP to 000-000-0000. And, if you’re not a member of EBD, come on out to see what we’re all about. We hope to see you there!
Thank-you.
Fred Rothman, Chair East Bradford Democrats
